The long-handled casserole, also known as a “Russian style” pan, shares the versatility of the other casseroles, excelling particularly in the preparation of gravy and sauces. The simple volume of the cylindrical container is offset by the strong horizontal extension of the handle: a balanced juxtaposition of geometry and materials.
